Ridgefield High School Fencing Club Sport
Learn the art of fencing (foil, sabre, epee), make new friends, do good things for the community. Compete for the Ridgefield High School Tigers (fencers from other CT HS schools that do NOT have a team in house may be approved by the AD to join the Tigers).
Under the direction of RHS Athletic Director Dane Street, CT State certified Coach Michael Martin along with Team Captain Ryan Kim Cogan will conduct all meetings and practices at Way of the Sword Fencing Academy located at 21 Governor Street, Ridgefield CT 06877 (take the town school bus and walk from the library).
Season officially starts November 15, 2022.
Every Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm unless canceled by order of the principal or superintendent of schools.
Costs:
RHS official competitive season Nov. 15 to March $400

Tournament fees are typically free if hosted in and by a high school program. However, there are several HS tournaments where fees to do apply such as the CT State Championship series. All tournaments are optional.
Travel - parents and students are expected to arrange travel to and from tournaments at their own expense.
RHS branded fencing T-shirts, sweatshirt, socks etc. All are being made to order at Tiger Sports in Ridgefield.
Fencing specific USFA regulation uniform and electrical scoring equipment. If you are new the sport, do not purchase anything until after we have sized and determined which form you will be competing in (foil, sabre, epee.)
