Option 1: Introductory plans have NO membership fees for the first two months.  Upon the third month, an annual membership is due which goes to support the infrastructure of the club. There is a limit of two group classes per week (8 per month) but more is possible for an added $20 per class. Private lessons are encouraged but not required.

Option 2: Level 1 & 2 are monthly + membership is a hybrid model taking the best of both flexible and fixed plans. Once you pay your upfront membership fee you have the flexibility to pay month to month while getting the benefits of the fixed unlimited plan.  Ideal for families that budget on a month to month basis.

Fixed plans are discounted bundled packages for committed fencers that want to save money. This is the best value plan we offer as it includes fee annual membership (-$600) plus unlimited lessons, open fencing and four private lessons per month.  A bargain!

Having a balance of both private and group lessons is recommended but if you are short on time due to logistics we recommend you focus on private lessons combined with open bouting and tournaments to reach your goals.

Group lessons are 1.5 hours in duration. Group lessons are progressive, well-rounded, sessions consisting of conditioning, stretching, footwork, technical blade work, and paired tournament fencing application using full electrical scoring.

Private lessons are necessary to be successful in today's competitive environment. The critical nuances of the distance and timing cannot be taught in a group class setting.   Each private lesson is 40 minutes in total consisting of 10 min. independent warm-up, 20 minutes technical 1:1 instruction, and 10 min. of independent reinforcement. Appointments are reserved online a la carte or can be booked by us as a "standing reservations" for fixed plans.

Yes, when you start mid-month we'll manually refund you back the difference on whatever package you purchase.  Your initial purchase will be for the full value of the package and then we manually adjust after calculations.  Usually within one day of the date of sale.

It should be noted that we do not prorate bundled deals so please do not ask us if you can pay the 12-month rate for fewer months.

The "fine print":

1. USFA membership is required to participate in any fencing activities.  Parents are responsible for joining the USFA and paying the minimum dues ($10 as of July 2019). This is an insurance mandate that must be done prior to starting lessons.
2. Equipment rental or purchase is required now so we can assign and give you a personal exclusive and dedicated kit.

Cancelation of private lessons must be done online or in writing (text or email) 24-hours prior to start. No exceptions! You will be charged if you fail to cancel in advance. Coaches rely on accurate and consistent attendance.

That all depends on the age of the student, skill, and goals. We designed our pricing to give you the OPTION to "tiptoe" in (one day a week for example) or go all in and train multiple days.

As a general rule and to keep pace with other students willing to make fencing their sport, not just an activity, we recommend training 4 to 10 two days a week plus one private lesson and more when competing in the USFA.
